Cher’s Son Arrested on Assault and Trespassing at Prep School

Things reportedly got heated at one of New England’s most elite boarding schools — and the unexpected name at the center of it all is turning heads.

Elijah Blue Allman, the son of music icon Cher and the late Southern rock legend Greg Allman, was arrested Friday night after police say he caused a disturbance at St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire.

According to the Concord Police Department, officers responded to the prestigious prep school just before 7 p.m. after reports of an unwanted guest inside the dining hall. Authorities allege Allman was “causing a disturbance and acting belligerently” when they arrived.

The 49-year-old was taken into custody and booked at Merrimack County Jail. He now faces two counts of simple assault, along with charges of criminal trespass, criminal threatening, and disorderly conduct.

Police say Allman has no known connection to the school, and it’s unclear why he was on campus. He is primarily based in Southern California.

After being processed, Allman was released on personal recognizance, meaning he did not have to post bail. He is expected to appear in court at a later date for arraignment.

So far, there has been no public comment from Cher’s representatives.

This story is still unfolding.
